Our “Settling In” afternoon is the perfect opportunity for new Primary 1s and other new starts to come along and get to know staff before they start in the new school year. We also believe it’s a great opportunity for the children to make new friends, and get to know potential classmates. This year, our “Settling In” afternoon will take place on Tuesday 16th of June, and will run from 3:30pm until 5:30pm.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate, not one, but three members of staff. Firstly, congratulations to Jennifer, who gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Michael Glen Williams, on May 10th. Mum and baby are well, and we look forward to meeting him in the near future! Well done to Hilary, who has been accepted to study her PGDE/Masters of Education at Strathclyde. She will be leaving us in August to return
As we are very busy, we would like to remind everyone who is looking to change or add days in the new school year (August 2015), to get in touch as soon as possible to allow us to make the necessary arrangements. This is particularly important for those using the service, and will be looking to start a younger sibling. Places are not guaranteed, so we stress that you book and confirm with us asap.
Our After School Care service, and our breakfast club are seeing the busiest periods to date, reaching our maximum capacity 4 days out of the 5! For this reason, we have taken on two new members of staff – Audrey and Lucy, who will be introducing themselves to you all over the coming weeks. Please feel free to chat to them, and any other members of staff who feel you don’t know well enough –

We are open to suggestions for trips and outings during the holidays, so if you or your child have any, please let us know. Booking forms will be sent out this month if you wish to book
Just before the Christmas holidays, our after school care choir went carolling at Tesco Burnside and at a local nursing home. We’d like to thank both Tesco and Abbeyfield for having us. It was a great experience, and we even managed to raise a few pennies to buy new toys for the children. All the members of the choir worked really hard on the lead up to the carolling, learning lots of songs with help
